Friedrich Dürrenmatt (1921–1990) became world-famous through his plays. Throughout his life, he painted and drew with great passion. "Writing was his profession, painting his passion". The Centre Dürrenmatt allows you to get to know this lesser-known facet of the artist and presents his paintings in dialogue with his literary work.

How to get there
Travel comfortably by train to Neuchâtel. From the station, either walk north for 1.1 km (20 minutes) or take bus 106 towards Vallon de l’Ermitage or bus 109 towards Trois-Chênes (two stops), then walk 600 m (10 minutes) through the Botanical Garden.
