Weissenstein
Up to 20% cheaper to a hiking paradise with impressive views
Fog or mist hovering over the entire Swiss Plateau, with sunny, clear skies above – this is Mt. Weissenstein. Solothurn’s ‘local mountain’, part of the first and highest Jura range, is a true walkers’ paradise. Here you will find mountain peaks offering far-ranging views, dreamy campfire spots, playgrounds set amidst nature and, here and there, a welcoming mountain inn or two.
The cable car takes you up onto Mt. Weissenstein in around 11 minutes, where – when the weather is good – you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view ranging from Mt. Säntis to Mont Blanc. Gaze in wonder at the lovingly cultivated Jura garden, with its 200 or so plant species, and enjoy great food and drink on the terrace of the Hotel Weissenstein.
