La Vue-des-Alpes snowshoe tour
A magical panorama and winter wonderland
The pass that connects the town of La-Chaux-de-Fonds with Neuchâtel is truly deserving of its name «La Vue des Alpes». It not only connects the two cities but is also a wonderful place for various snowshoeing and winter hiking activities, especially in winter. Thanks to its elevation, you get a unique view of the surrounding Alps, all the way to Mont Blanc.
Travel by train directly to La Chaux-de-Fonds. Then, transfer to the bus that will take you directly to the starting point of your tour. The tour ends in Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane, from where you can comfortably travel back home by train.
Snowshoe trail
La Vue des Alpes - Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane
The snowshoe tour starts at the popular Vue des Alpes starting point. There, you dive straight into the winter landscape of the Neuchâtel Mountains. This varied hike leads from Tête de Ran to Mont Racine. Along the way, there are always spectacular views of the surrounding Alps. After a good seven kilometres you reach Mont Racine. From here you hike down into the valley and board the train in Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane.

How to get there
Travel comfortably by train to La Chaux-de-Fonds. From there, a bus will take you directly to Vue des Alpes. Return journey by train from Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane.
