Cross-country skiing in the Kiental
Cross-country skiing fun on the village trail
From Kiental in the direction of Griesalp, a 4-kilometre cross-country ski trail is groomed in classic and skating technique. The first section leads directly after the village of Kiental along an easy and attractive surface and is also suitable for beginners. The second section is characterized by more challenging terrain. The start and finish are located at the Kiental-Ramslauenen chairlift station or at the parking lot on Gornerenstrasse. The proceeds from the cross-country ski pass are used to maintain the trails.
The end of the Kiental is located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site «Jungfrau-Aletsch». Other highlights of the World Heritage region are Lake Oeschinen near Kandersteg and the World Nature Forum in Naters.
