The public guided tours of the town will take place regardless of the weather.

Guests will need to be sure-footed to take part in the climb up the church tower. Reservations are recommended.

Archaeology Cellar Willisau

The impressive archaeological discoveries of parts of the town walls and the cellar of the Kirchherrenhaus, or patrons’ house, have been preserved in situ and are freely accessible. A large screen shows various short films on the history of Willisau. Open daily from 08.00 to 17.00 hours.

Christkindli Märt Willisau
06–08 December 2024

The most well-known Christmas market in the region is the atmospheric Christkindlimärt in the historic old town of Willisau. Festively decorated market stalls entice visitors with the scents of mulled wine, chestnuts, spices, and candles.
