System engineer
As a system engineer, you are responsible for ensuring the system and development environment are compatible. You set up networks and communication networks and ensure a high data availability. You are responsible for the in-house IT structures and cloud solutions. Thanks to you, not only can our 3,600 employees work efficiently, our passengers can also travel safely and remain well informed.
It was “end of life” for the tablets belonging to our 700 or so train drivers. For Sebastian, it was the start of an exciting journey as a technical advisor for the specification, procurement and rollout of the new tablets. During the process, he got to know the whole BLS route network and every individual vehicle type. How did he manage to meet all the requirements?
