Travel in comfort with the BLS to "Huttwil" and continue by bus to "Dürrenroth, Dorf".
Route description
The starting point of this hike is the remarkable village center of Dürrenroth. The church with its Laurentius bell from 1392, the oldest bell in Switzerland, deserves special attention. The path leads through the forest up to Oberwald. A short steep ascent on a rough path leads to the wooded ridge of Hornbachegg. Here you can enjoy a 360° panorama over the hilly Emmental landscape to the Jura and even as far as the Black Forest. Continue through the forest to Fritzeflue. Descend through the hollow path to Eriswil.

Availability & How to get there
The trail is accessible from 1 April to 31 October.
Take the train to "Huttwil", and from there take bus no. 483 to the "Dürrenroth, Dorf" stop.
Return journey: From "Eriswil".
