EWIII – commuter train with locomotive

Almost 50 years in service

The EWIII trains were put into service in the 1970s. After almost 50 years, they will definitely disappear from the railway landscape by the end of 2021. They will make way for the new MIKA trains. One consolation for all railway fans: SBB Historic has taken over an EWIII train and will thus ensure that this train type finds an appropriate place in the historical heritage.
