RABe 528 – «MIKA»
The future has begun
The first MIKAs (modern, innovative, compact all-round train) of the "RegioExpress" (RE) type were put into operation in 2021. The 105-metre-long, single-decker train is equipped with comfortable seats, spacious multifunctional zones, large panoramic windows, window panes for improved mobile phone reception, power sockets at practically every seat and a bistro zone with snack and coffee vending machines.
The MIKAs of type RE travel from Berne via Neuchâtel to La Chaux-de-Fonds, and from Berne via Thun-Spiez-Kandersteg to Domodossola and from Spiez to Zweisimmen. In future, the MIKA type RE will run from Berne as the RegioExpress through Emmental and Entlebuch to Lucerne and from Biel via Delémont to Basel. MIKAs with more space will be used for S-Bahn operations. In future, these will run on the S2, S4 and S6 lines of the Bern S-Bahn and on the S6 and S7 lines of the Lucerne S-Bahn.

We organise and drive the train while you celebrate and have fun
Whether it’s for 20 or as many as 2,000 guests, we can offer you modern and nostalgic trains, or even just a single carriage.
We take care of the catering and ambience, arrange live music or magician performances and even organise a festive reception at the train station at your destination if you'd like.
