Cité du Temps
Discover the worlds of the watch brands Omega and Swatch
This special place is entirely devoted to time and houses two museums from the famous Biel watch brands under one roof: the Omega Museum and Planet Swatch.
In the heart of the watch-making metropolis of Biel, between the Omega factory and the new headquarters of the Swatch brand, the Cité du Temps opened its doors in 2019.
Created by world-famous Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, the Cité du Temps combines the playful, cheerful style of the Swatch brand and the luxurious character of Omega under one roof.
Equipped with the very latest interactive technologies, the Omega and Planet Swatch museums invite visitors to discover the different worlds of the two brands in an entertaining manner.
Thanks to their central location in the middle of Biel, the two museums are very easy to reach by public transport. Travel by train to Biel/Bienne train station. From the train station, there are various bus routes to the “Omega” stop, which is right in front of the main entrance.
