Hike from Chuderhüsi, via Würzbrunnen, Röthenbach i.E. to Eggiwil
Enjoy the unique view from Chuderhüsi to the Bernese Alps at the start of the hike. Perhaps even from the Chuderhüsi tower. In good conditions, you can see as far as the Jura. The hike continues downhill towards Würzbrunnen church. The former pilgrimage church is definitely worth a visit. The easy hike continues downhill across lush meadows and through shady forests.
Travel in comfort with the BLS to «Signau» and continue by bus to «Chuderhüsi, Röthenbach».
Route description
The hike starts with the highlight of the excursion. In a few minutes walk from the bus station you will reach the wooden lookout tower Chuderhüsi through the forest. The climb is worth it – 195 steps up to a sensational 360° panorama. On the trail to the Würzbrunnen chapel, you can see the Schrattenflue and Schibengütsch peaks as well as the Hohgant massif in their full glory. The trail passes by traditional Emmental farms and on towards Röthenbach i.E. If you want to see more of the beautiful Emmental, you can continue the walk to Eggiwil via Farnere.

By train to «Signau» and continue with bus 271 to «Röthenbach, Chuderhüsi».
Return journey from «Eggiwil, Dorf».
The normal public transport fares apply to the BLS Hiking Bus.
