Hike from Trubschachen over the Napf to the Mettlenalp
The hike begins in the Emmental village of Trubschachen. Explore the beautiful village and make a detour to the Kambly experience. There you can sample delicious biscuit creations. The trail leads past beautiful farmhouses through dense coniferous forests and across lush meadows. High up on the Napf, you can enjoy a magnificent view from the Jura in the north to the Bernese Alps in the south. You will be amazed.

Route description
The hike on the original route of the Napf Marathon starts in Trubschachen. Before the ascent, it is worth visiting the Kambly Experience Trubschachen. Get the necessary provisions for the way or taste the biscuit creations on the spot. The hiking trail leads via Risisegg to Rossgrat. Continue along the ridge high above the Fankhusgrabe to the Napf and then down to Mettlenalp.

Availability & How to get there
From 04 May to 27 October 2024 exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as public holidays
Travel by train to "Trubschachen", the starting point of the hike.
Return journey from "Mettlenalp (Napf)" with the BLS hiking bus 284 to "Langnau i. E.". Please note that there is only one bus connection for the return journey in the afternoon.

- The walk can also be done as two-day tour with a night spent at the Balm mountain lodge (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday).
- Thanks to the bus stops between Trubschachen and Mettlenalp, the route can be shortened.
