Use of resources and the circular economy

The circular economy is a key concept for optimising resource efficiency

As part of its sustainability strategy, BLS has set itself the goal of examining the product groups in terms of their importance for the circular economy and promoting this in a targeted manner in relevant product groups.

Flow of resources

Resource inflows, utilisation and outflows

An efficient flow of and sustainable use of resources are crucial for the implementation of the circular economy. A sustainable flow of resources (e.g. through the reuse of construction materials) is likewise a key component of the circular economy and is becoming increasingly important for BLS. The aim is to minimise the outflow of resources and to focus in future more on the potential of the circular economy.
