Employees
Diversity, fairness and development
Attractive working conditions and a wide range of training and development opportunities enable employees at BLS to realise their potential.
Diversity and inclusion
Diversity and inclusion are important elements of BLS's strategic direction. Diverse and inclusive teams open up different perspectives and provide additional knowledge. This is why BLS employees are involved in action teams on topics such as the advancement of women, integrative workplaces and the promotion of technical professions. This includes, for example, BLS's participation in the Avanti Week to promote gender-atypical careers and lifestyles.
Equal pay and parental leave
There are no gender-specific wage differences at BLS. BLS has been conducting annual equal pay analyses since 2021, and the independent auditors found no significant and inexplicable wage differences in the equal pay analyses carried out for BLS Ltd. and its subsidiaries in 2023. BLS also attaches great importance to generous parental leave arrangements. Mothers receive 18 weeks of maternity leave, on top of which employees are entitled to take time off for a maximum of six months. Fathers benefit from 18 days' paid holiday with full pay, and this time off for new fathers can be extended with annual leave days, other time credits or unpaid leave.
Training and further education
BLS attaches great importance to the training and development of its employees and offers numerous internal training programmes. It also provides financial and time-related support for external training programmes. As a partner of the vocational training provider Login, it successfully prepares young adults for their entry into working life, with around 60 per cent of apprentices remaining loyal to BLS after their training.
